Rafting North Carolina
North Carolina Whitewater Rafting Rivers
We run white water raft trips on the Cheoah River and the French Broad River in North Carolina. The Cheoah is known around the world as some of the fastest whitewater anywhere. The French Broad runs big in the spring and mellows into the summer, providing a fun paddle through the Pisgah National Forest.
Cheoah River — Robinsville, North Carolina
The Cheoah River is a nine mile, non-stop thrill ride with steep tumbling rapids and several large drops, including the fifteen foot tall Bear Creek Falls. The last two miles have an average gradient of 200 feet per mile. Compared to other rivers like the Ocoee or the Gauley at 65 feet per mile, the Cheoah River pushes white water rafting to the edge.
French Broad River — Marshall, North Carolina
The French Broad River is a gorgeous free flowing river will delight even the most seasoned outdoors people. Sometimes spirited, other time playful, the French Broad is always charming and never boring. Water volume is seasonal, with the spring thaw bringing big waves and the summer months providing more of a scenic float trip through the Pisgah National Forest. This river offers something for everyone.
