Pigeon River Rafting
The Pigeon River offers a delightful and scenic introduction to whitewater for all Smoky Mountain vacationers. With miles of continuous adventure and family class rapids nestled in the heart of Tennessee’s most spectacular mountain scenery, the Pigeon River is one of the most popular whitewater rafting trips in the country. The Pigeon River is usually run on scheduled recreational dam releases providing ample water for a thrilling ride. Beginning May 1 these releases on the Pigeon River will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Upper Pigeon River Express:
The Upper section boasts some of most fun whitewater rafting in the region. Five miles of river offers a refreshing alternative to crowded hotel pools as you paddle your way towards our outpost at the takeout.
Lower Pigeon River Express:
This five miles of family class rapids is an excellent introduction to rafting. Put in at our outpost and in no time you’ll be winding through a beautiful river gorge bordered by the Cherokee National Forest on one side and the Great Smoky Mountains on the other. There is great potential for wildlife viewing as you head downstream.
